Research

I started working on projects with ​the Bruno Translational Cardio-Immunology Laboratory in the Spring of 2023. Throughout this time, the guidance and expertise I have experienced from the mentorship from Dr. Bruno has had a tremendous positive impact on my professional development. In the lab, we conduct experiments in mice to identify biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of myocarditis. In my role, I aid in performing RNA, DNA, and protein extraction, cDNA synthesis, RT PCR, animal harvests, and other advanced laboratory techniques. I have also performed data entry and statistical analyses for ongoing experiments and clinical trials. ​As a member of the University Scholars Program, I hope to continue doing research with the fantastic team at the Bruno Laboratory.
